His Story
Aidenn Spores of Cedar Rapids, Iowa was 8 years old when the full weight of his journey became known to the world. But his fight had begun long before that.
From early in his life, Aidenn Spores was living with a rare genetic mutation called P10, a condition that attacks the small intestine and disrupts the body's ability to absorb nutrients. What most children take for granted, eating, digesting, growing, was a daily battle for Aidenn Spores. The mutation led to progressive intestinal failure, and without proper absorption, his blood sugar became dangerously and unpredictably low, a condition known as hypoglycemia.
His body was working against him. But Aidenn Spores never stopped.
